Pointers are one of the most difficult parts of C++ for the beginner, and one of the most important for a C++ developer to understand.
Pointers hold the address to other variables. You can think of a variable as a box where you can store values of a particular type. A variable of type
int can store integer values a variable of type
double can store floating point values. Every variable (box) has a location in memory, and that location can be stored as an address in a pointer.
We can use pointers to reference and manipulate large structures.
